Launch Announcement - Day ONLY
  • North Branch, MN - Central Turf Farms Flying Field
  • Setup starts at 9:00 am
  • Flying starts at 10:00 am
  • Please stay for tear-down if you can ~5:00pm
  • Waiver to 20,000ft weather dependent
Final Call: The Launch is a GO!
The forecast for Saturday looks about perfect.  No rain this time... 
No night launch this month...  The waiver has still not been approved.
We are still optimistic that we will be able to get the paperwork in order for a night launch in October.  This gives you another month to make those rockets extra bright!
 
The new signup sheet for volunteers is up and running.  ;)

Trackers: 

It makes it easier and less expensive in the end, if you can get everything back.  If your going to be flying out-of-sight, at crazy Mach speeds, or deploying a main at apogee...  PLEASE use some kind of radio recovery.  The crops are getting taller, and it makes it impossible to see a rocket from the ground.  Please do everything possible to make sure you find your rocket BEFORE the farmers do!  The club has bacons that can be rented if needed.  

Radios:


FRS / GMRS Channel 4 for all club radio transmissions.
Brats
On-Field Provisions:
 
Off We Go Rocketry - Gary will be attending the launch with a large assortment of rocket motors and rocketry related supplies.
 
Food Vendor - Brian's Brats will be ready to serve lunch!  Remember to bring CASH.
 
Rest Room - We will have a handicap accessible porta potty at the field.
 
Trash - There are usually two trash cans located near the LCO table.  Please use them.
