Launch Announcement
  • North Branch, MN - Central Turf Farms Flying Field
  • Setup starts at 9:00 am
    • Back to the original time - Thanks Mother Nature!
  • Flying starts at 10:00 am
  • Please stay for tear-down if you can ~5:00pm
  • Waiver to 20,000ft weather dependent
Final Call: The Launch is a GO!
 
The field may be a bit damp, but should be ok as long as you don't fall into one of the ditches!
 
Winds in the afternoon may be a bit spicy!

Weekend Road Closure
Be advised...  Your typical route may be impacted.  Please switch off auto pilot until you are closer to the field.
Searching

Trackers: 

It makes it easier and less expensive in the end, if you can get everything back. We did have a few rockets that were still not recovered when I left the field at the last launch.  If your going to be flying out-of-sight, at crazy Mach speeds, or deploying a main at apogee...  PLEASE use some kind of radio recovery.  The club has bacons that can be rented.  For those super spicy shots, its good practice to fly a bit lower and slower for a test flight before doing a full send.

FRS / GMRS Channel 4 for all club radio transmissions.
Brats
On-Field Provisions:
 
Off We Go Rocketry - Gary will be attending the launch with a large assortment of rocket motors and rocketry related supplies.
 
Food Vendor - Brian's Brats will be ready to serve lunch!  Remember to bring CASH.
 
Rest Room - We will have a handicap accessible porta potty at the field.
 
Trash - There are usually two trash cans located near the LCO table.  Please use them.
