Launch Announcement
  • North Branch, MN - Central Turf Farms Flying Field
  • Setup starts at 9:00 am
  • Flying starts at 10:00 am
  • Please stay for tear-down if you can ~5:00pm
  • Waiver to 20,000ft weather dependent
Final Call: The Launch is a GO!
The current forecast for Saturday: 
"Absolutely PERFECT!"
 

***CAUTION - FIRE DANGER is Moderate***

According to the National Weather Service, we have a moderate fire risk.  This could mean a ban of "Sparky" style motors.  The final call for use of our pyrotechnic sparkler shows will be made on Saturday morning when the field conditions are determined.

Trackers: 

It makes it easier and less expensive in the end, if you can get everything back.  I don't believe we lost any rockets last launch.  Let's keep the record going.  If your going to be flying out-of-sight, or deploying a main at apogee...  PLEASE use some kind of radio recovery.  The club has bacons that can be rented.

Radios:


FRS / GMRS Channel 4 for all club radio transmissions.
On-Field Provisions:
 
Off We Go Rocketry - Gary will be attending the launch with a large assortment of rocket motors and rocketry related supplies.
 
Food Vendor - Brian's Brats will be ready to serve lunch!  Remember to bring CASH.
 
Rest Room - We will have a handicap accessible porta potty at the field.
 
Trash - There are usually two trash cans located near the LCO table.  Please use them.
