September 2008 High Flyer

Steve AndersonSteve AndersonLow clouds and light rain didn't stop Steve Anderson from setting a new “H” altitude record. Steve’s rocket “Bad Behavior” flying on a AMW Pro-X H123 Skidmark motor reached a blistering altitude of 1537 feet. This flight also gave him the September’s high-flyer of the month honors. Congratulations Steve! This photo of Steve was taken at LDRS. He successfully armed all the electronics for Big Yeller’s flight. This position is affectionately called “tower monkey”.

Pat ArnesonPat ArnesonPat Arneson flew his scratch built rocket named "Just Fly The Damn Thing" for the days Trifecta of rocketry. Pat made a great choice using an Aerotech J420R for his power plant . The rocket soared to the incredible altitude of 6773 feet for a perfect flight. This smashes David Kittell's J class record from previous month and puts Pat in first place in the J class for now.
